Peruvian drummer/percussionist, composer, recording artist and educator,Hector Morales .
has worked with the masters of the Afro-Peruvian tradition - "Maestro" Carlos Hayre, Julio "Chocolate" Algendones as well as legendary saxophonist Oliver Lake and Grammy Award winning bassist Oscar Stagnaro. He has performed at international venues - National Museum of Peru, the Society of Musicians and Composers of Chile Auditorium, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, the Jerusalem Music Festival, and Festival du Monde Arabe de Montreal, among others, and has been featured in videos produced by the Latin Percussion Company (LP) and Congahead.
Hector has been Pachamama Peruvian Arts' cajon and Afro-Peruvian percussion instructor since it's inception on 2004 and has conducted master classes on styles of percussion from around the world at Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York University, The New Jersey Music Educators Conference and the Face to Face conference.
