Opening Act :: Gabe Valle's Outerplay at The Falcon

Hailing from New York, violinist and composer Gabe Valle developed his violin skills playing everything from jazz, pop, and folk to indie rock and funk. In 2013, Gabe was named Grand Champion at the Eclectic Strings Competition at the ASTA national convention.

Gabe's musical endeavours have brought him venues such as the Lycian Theatre, Eisenhower Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Bamboozle. He played in the Bach Around the Clock Festival in New Orleans, LA with the Allegro Orchestra. He has performed/recorded with artists such as Anne Hampton Calloway, Sherrie Maricle, John Feeny, Adam Nussbaum, Christa Benion, Steven Reineke, Robert Sabin, Jermaine Paul, Tao Seeger-Rodriguez and Barrage. Outerplay is a group formed in Wayne, New Jersey by band leader Gabe Valle. They have been performing in the NYC area since early this year. They have become a close group of musicians rooted in post-bop. The group; tenor saxophonist Matt Tischio, violinist Gabe Valle,pianist Bryan Ponton, bassist Connor Koch, drummer Joe Spinelli, brings new twists to acoustic straight-ahead jazz while still honoring the tradition.
