"oz Experience": Omar Hakim & Rachel Z at The Falcon

Omar Hakim's and Rachel Z's new project entitled “OZ Experience” bridges diverse musical experiences. On this occasion they’ll bring long time partner Jonathan Toscano on bass.
Drummer Omar Hakim and pianist/keyboardist Rachel Z have put a significant stamp on modern music as we know it. In the process they have effectively removed artificial “borders” between genres.

They came together in 2010 to form the Trio of Oz. Their debut CD, "The Trio of Oz", garnered rave reviews and Jazziz Magazine nominated it Best Jazz CD of the year, while they were performing groundbreaking arrangements of notable rock music from such bands as the Killers, Depeche Mode, Death Cab for Cutie and the Police.
