The newly formed “Pablo Lanouguere Quintet” is led by bassist/composer Pablo Lanouguere who has conceived of a new direction within the Argentine music. The elements of Argentine music styles- tango & folklore - are present, while elements from jazz, Latin, contemporary and classical music interact vividly with them.

Pablo Lanouguere - equally skilled and inventive as a bassist and composer - released the quintet's debut, Eclectico (2019). Comprising a dozen originals, the music crosses stylistic boundaries while rooted in creative jazz, modern tango, classical music and folk melodies of Lanouguere’s Argentinian heritage.

Lanouguere, based in New York since 2013, composed and arranged the music which puts the emphasis on the unpredictable colors created with violinist Nick Danielson, guitarist Federico Diaz, pianist Emilio Teubal and drummer Franco Pinna.
