Since, both have forged unique paths as players and composers and leaders, working with a long list of jazz luminaries. Upon meeting Swallow, McGinnis saw a similar chemistry similar to Lande's. Thus - the "recurring dream" of recording together. With their combined playfulness, wit and love for each other, their music reflects the 40+ years it has taken to bring them together.

He has carved his own singular path throughout his career, taking the innovations of Bill Evans into the future. Lande has written numerous compositions, but is known, as well, for his unusual and distinctive interpretations of popular and jazz standards.

Steve Swallow has long been the jazz critics' favorite electric bassist - approaching the electric bass as if it were a guitar. Swallow joined the Paul Bley trio in 1960 and Gary Burton's quartet (1967-1970) - one of the first fusion groups. At that time, Swallow began playing electric bass, and soon stopped playing acoustic altogether. Swallow is known as a talented composer with numerous and innovative recordings made through the decades.
