Vocalist/composer Fay Victor, called “artistically complete” by the New York Times, consistently hones a unique vision of the vocalist’s role in jazz and improvised music. A multi-genre approach called “Freesong”. Victor’s eight critically acclaimed recordings as a leader has been praised by the music press worldwide. Victor performs and teaches internationally with a veritable who’s-who of musicians such as Aruan Ortiz, Andrew Cyrille, Henry Threadgill and John Medeski, among others.

An important pianist in the NYC music scene, sharing the stage with jazz artists Houston Person, Ernestine Anderson, and Roswell Rudd and hosting his own events at well-known NYC venues - The Lenox Lounge, The Blue Note and Smalls. Lafayette has played with, arranged, and was the last pianist, for the great Max Roach, one of the inventors of modern jazz, as well as the world's greatest drummer.
