Bassist Tony Garnier was Bob Dylan's longest-running sideman, and has sometimes been characterized as his "musical director" as well. In addition to his work with Dylan, Garnier has recorded with Tom Waits, Loudon Wainwright III, Paul Simon, Asleep at the Wheel, and The Lounge Lizards. He also played with Robert Gordon in the early 1980s. He was also a long-time sideman for David Johansen in his Buster Poindexter persona, and was also briefly a member of the [SNL] Saturday Night Live house band.

Rob Scheps is one of the best saxophonists of his generation, whose credits include - Gil Evans, Al Grey, George Russell, John Scofield, Julis Hemphill, Clark Terry, Kenwood Dennard, Don Alias, Louie Bellson, and the late, great Lew Soloff, among others. He has toured the globe with world class musicians, including: Eddie Harris, Eddie Henderson, Cyrus Chestnut, Hank Jones, Cedar Walton, and Pathways (Jazz Ambassadors Tour for Jazz at Lincoln Center) among others.
