X Ensemble

We are happy to announce the World Premiere of "Convergence: Series A" on Friday April 30th. We will premier this piece as part of a new series called “Night Flight Music Live” and will be live-streaming out of Cassandra Studios in Beacon NY. The stream will go out on right here, as well as on Neil Alexander’s Youtube channel and our Facebook Page. With the composition nearly complete, we have begun scheduling rehearsals.

Convergence: Series A also examines the life of a small community within the context of a larger urban setting. Drawn from my own experiences in Newburgh NY, some of the themes explored are images of community life including meals, family, work and celebrations....

For this performance the X Ensemble will include 3 strings, 2 winds, keyboards and multiple percussionists. The lineup is:

Brad Hubbard - Baritone Saxophone, Flute and Bass Clarinet
Steven Frieder - Alto Saxophone, Clarinet
Todd Isler - drum set, hand percussion
Angel Michael Lau - percussion
Neil Alexander - Piano, Synthesizers
