The greatest success for South Africa-born multi-instrumentalist Blondie Chaplin has come as a sideman the Beach Boys, The Band and for the past 10 years as vocalist/guitarist with the Rolling Stones. Blondie's lead vocals are heard on the Beach Boys hit “Sail on Sailor.” His hook-laden melodies have enhanced albums by Jennifer Warnes, Bonnie Raitt, David Johansen, and the Band's Rick Danko. Apartheid compelled Chaplin and his band, The Flames, to seek opportunities in the UK and ultimately in the US. Recently, Chaplin worked with Keith Richards on his solo album, “Wingless Angels.”

Keith Lentin and Anton Fig were band mates in H.A.M.M.A.K., a popular band in Cape Town, South Africa. After attending Berklee College of Music in Boston Lentin rejoined Fig, forming the band SPIDER. Tina Turner’s “Better Be Good to Me” was a cover of one of SPIDER’s memorable tunes. Lentin, an in-demand sideman, has lent his bass, guitar and production skills to Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood , Bernard Fowler, Parlor Dogs, Kix and numerous others.
