Wolter Wierbos & Kris Defoort / Gianluca Petrella's Indigo 4 at Just Jazz It Festival Brussels

After last year’s success with Mathew Shipp and Bart Maris, we launch
a second edition of the international exchange project Vice Versa. This
time Dutch trombone player Wolter Wierbos and Belgian composerpianist Kris Defoort received an
invitation to rehearse and perform in Brussels. Wierbos is known internationally as an excellent musician,
a gifted improvisationist and a gutsy personality. In his piano play, Defoort marries jazz with

dare and they like to play, with their instruments and with their music. Their skilful craftsmanship and love
for the jazz tradition is countered by a striking interest in working with samples, loops and electronic
sounds. They bring their many ideas into life in a creative and attractive way.
