Called “stunningly beautiful and adventurous” (New York City Jazz Record), and hailed as "one of the best jazz ensembles in the world" (Jazz Podium, Germany), The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra continues its 46th season with music by Duke Ellington and Mark Harvey to celebrate Ellington's 120th birthday. Acclaimed tenor saxophonist Ricky Ford joins the band as guest artist. The show will include Ellington's Chinoiserie and Praise God and Dance (from the Second Sacred Concert), and the premiere of Harvey's latest work, Of the People.
