About
Say: ”TET-trup-tick”
It is a painting with four panels that make up one painting.
It is also the name of a new quartet that plays the music of acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Bert Seager. Taking swing and groove and melody and song form as their basic elements,Tetraptych combines them in an exuberant way; their point of departure. This is not dry or cerebral music. And though there are solos one encounters the tetraptych: the input of each member during these solos, a dawning realization that the entire group is soloing simultaneously.
Bert Seager – pianist, has written tunes specifically to fit these musicians, their strengths and collaborative chemistry....
