The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship through various musical disciplines, with pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director. The BGJI provides a comprehensive contemporary music environment where students are given opportunities to explore their creativity to the highest level possible, advance the power of music as a tool for the betterment of society, and connect musical creative thinking with the natural environment.

The first part of the evening will feature a concert presented by the Green and Red Ensembles of the BGJI. The multicultural ensembles boast participants from all parts of the globe. Countries such as Brazil, Israel, Japan and The United States, among others, are represented through the students. The following half will be a jam session led by the ensembles. All instruments and levels are welcome to participate.

This is the fourth installment in a series of concerts and jam sessions. BGJI students will feature original repertoire as well as arranged standards.

The BGJI are excited to present their Concert Series and Jam Session at The Lilypad on November 5. The Lilypad houses a small bar and is handicap accessible.
