A new collaborative quartet in which each member of the group has contributed new original music for the quartet as we prepare for recording our first album together in July. Tix are $10 at the door.

All four members are critically acclaimed musicians who perform around town (playing with a long list of musicians from a mosaic of jazz and world music styles), around the country, and abroad.

The HRq provides an intimate compositional outlet to explore the oddly perfect, and historically rare, combination of a guitar and trumpet front line. Elements of the blues, bop, and free jazz sit comfortably beside hints of folk, rock and more in a post-modern repertoire that refuses to be pinned down by stylistic definitions.
