The Lefteris Kordis trio works mainly on Lefteris's original music and a few of his arrangements of such pieces as the Beatles’ “And I Love Her,” Hancock’s “Dolphin Dance,” and Scriabin’s “Etude in Bb minor No11, Op.8.” Kordis's compositions and the trio's interactive improvisations reflect a balanced amalgam of modern jazz elements with Eastern Mediterranean colors, rhythms, and textures.
