About
A classically trained pianist and harpsichordist who later studied jazz, Katherine Shao's projects push the envelope of the conventional. Her Cosmic Gothic project combines influences from these two musical worlds with found-audio samples to create a unique and engaging sound. Cosmic Gothic also includes Todd Brunel on reeds, Dan Fox on trombone, Peter Tillotson on bass, and Steve Langone on drums.
