About

Carlos Averhoff, Jr is a native Cuban saxophonist, composer educator and band leader. His music offers a new hybrid sound of Cuban influenced Jazz. On his project iRESI, entitled after a Yoruba word meaning the light of the soul, Carlos showcases original compositions and arrangements masterfully painting a landscape of contemporary harmonies and rhythms from his native land.
