Following the release of its new CD âXpressionâ in 2011, the Nate Aronow Nextet puts on an energetic and varied show of honkinâ originals and a few classic covers. Contemporary Jazz, Latin, R&B and Fusion -- both vocal and instrumental tunes with some unexpected turns, and a bit of humor and attitude in the mix. The Nextet sports some of Bostonâs hottest jazz and funk players. With dueling horns and vocals out front, this is a very entertaining show. And, the Nextet is the band that does âBikinâ the Bikeâ! Featuring Nate on keyboards and vocals, Steve Lamb on guitar, Jeff Jones on bass and vocals, Barry Lit on drums, Akili Jamal Haynes on trumpet, and Doug Sondak on sax.
