Pink Martini: Good Riddance 2020! at Virtual Event (boston, Ma)

Celebrate the holidays and ring in the new year with Pink Martini. Influenced by Latin music, jazz, cabaret, cinema scores, and more, Pink Martini brings melodies and rhythms from different parts of the world together to create a fabulously eclectic, modern sound. This year, the band debuts two new virtual holiday concerts—“Home for the Holidays” on December 17 and “Good Riddance 2020” on December 31. Both programs were filmed at Pink Martini's headquarters in downtown Portland, in front of a 35-foot Christmas tree.

With the band on long-term hiatus due to the global pandemic, it was important to bandleader Thomas Lauderdale to find a new way to bring some holiday joy to fans, friends, and family around the globe. “I love the holidays and all of the music that goes with the season,” says Lauderdale. “Our goal has always been to make inclusive holiday music that can be played anywhere in the world. The concerts are available individually and as a two-concert package. Though the shows were recorded in advance, band members will join live for chat and commentary during each concert’s debut broadcast, and the performance will also be available to ticket-buyers to stream for a limited time afterwards.
