On February 9, Berklee alumni Ricardo Vogt '07 and Leala Cyr '07 - two musicians enjoying success on the New York jazz scene and performing with top artists like Esperanza Spalding - return to their Boston stomping grounds for a "homecoming" show at The Red Room at Cafe 939 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 to the general public and $5 with a Berklee ID.

Vogt, a Brazilian-born bossa nova wunderkind who was internationally acclaimed before age 10, and Cyr, a classical-turned-jazz vocalist from Wisconsin, blend picturesque vocals and sensual guitar to create a one-of-a-kind collaboration that seems to always find the two in harmony. This concert is part of a Berklee, NPR.org, and New York jazz station WBGO collaboration, The Checkout - Live at Berklee. The series brings critically acclaimed, New York-based, Berklee alumni back to Boston to showcase where they've gone since graduation. The concerts are broadcast live over NPR.org and over WBGO (in NYC) as a special edition of WBGO's renowned show featuring what's new in jazz, The Checkout.
