Way, way back in 1983, saxophonist Russ Gershon met trombonist Josh Roseman in an Illinois Jacquet-led big band. A couple of years later, when Russ was founding the Either/Orchestra, Josh was one of the first people he called.

After a year with the E/O and playing on their debut LP, "Dial 'E,'" Josh left for Germany and landed eventually in New York. He has had a stellar career, playing with Dave Holland, Don Byron, Steve Coleman, Dave Douglas, Jason Moran, the Skatelites, the Roots, John Zorn, MMW, Me'Shell NdegeOcello, and the late Lester Bowie, as well as leading his own bands. For this special reunion show, Josh, a Newton MA native, will join Russ, Blake Newman (bass) and Oscar Suchanek (drums) for a selection of material ranging from Mingus, Rahsaan and Billy Harper to the Monkees, plus originals.
