An evening of Inspirational Jazz with this groove-oriented trio led by Russell on piano, with Winston McCow/bass and Sean Skeete/drums. Special guest vocalist Lynette Gittens. Russell’s music has been showcased at the Gospel Jubilee at Jordan Hall, the Cape Cod Jazz Festival, Sculler’s, the Regattabar and other venues. His latest CD, “Amazing Grace,” is a collaboration with star saxophonist Grace Kelly. Gittens is an active member of Soul of Boston, who has also performed and/or recorded with Michael Bublé, John Robinson, Walter Beasley and Chris Parks.
