New York City-based vibraphonist Tom Beckham leads a new quartet entitled SLICE, featuring the talents of fellow New Yorkers Nate Radley (guitar), Matt Pavolka (bass) and Diego Voglino (drums).
The vibraphonist's recent CD "Rebound" finds in the like-minded company of Chris Cheek, Henry Hey, Ferenc Nemeth and Matt Clohesy. Mr. Beckham has been called "a lyrical player with a flair for writing distinctive, memorable tunes" by jazz.com and a "fine composer" by Baltimore Magazine.
