The concert is a tribute to the great living Jazz legend Jimmy Heath who is a great composer, arranger, saxophonist and educator of Jazz. The repertoire will include two of his most famous blues composition played and recorded by Miles Davis, Gingerbread Girl and Big P. The band will also play two stunning Afro Cuban compositions, featuring Cuban trumpeter, Yaure Muniz, Puerto Rican percussionist, Luis McDougall and trombonist Jeff Galindo.To conclude, TJO will present stirring interpretations of songs from American Cinema and the Great American Songbook.
