Growing up in the Mid-West, with wide, open spaces and big skies, a child’s imagination runs wild with endless possibilities. Add to that a parent’s collection of vinyl film scores, R&B and jazz and you have the creative wellspring of what would become the music of the Evoke Ensemble.

Fast forward a few decades later, add the curation of like-minded, world class musicians and a desire to commit this sound to memory, and you have the Evoke Ensemble’s debut, “Groove for Peace”.

Miles Davis meets Sade; Chet Baker meets Jazzanova; Pat Metheny meets Incognito…

The Evoke Ensemble lives up to it’s eponym: evoking the listeners mind to the tapestry of their human experience while simultaneously, subconsciously making them bob their heads.
