The Lily Pad set will showcase multiple musical personalities: melodic accessibility, a sturdy framework of composition and the unbridled freedom of free improvisation.

For two decades Jim Hobbs has been an underground feature of the Boston music scene and is now gaining wider recognition as one of the most vibrant artists in jazz and contemporary music. Described as "one of the generation's most gifted artists" by Troy Collins, AllAboutJazz, and Boston Phoenix writer Jon Garelick says, "There's no one with a more individual sound than Hobb; strangled and crying one minute, soft and bluesy the next, or just plain Johnny Hodges purdy."
