Started by the Portsmouth Poet Laureate Program's second poet laureate Robert Dunn more than two decades ago, and hosted by current Portsmouth Poet Laureate Diannely Antigua, the Hoot is one of New Hampshire longest running poetry series.Each event begins with two featured readers and is immediately followed by an open mic. Open mic participants should bring a poem and be ready to read (one poem, no longer than three minutes). Please no announcements from stage.
