A busy September is in the works for jazz flutist and recent Guggenheim Fellowship Award recipient Jamie Baum with her Septet+, who will swing by Scullers by way of Portland, ME (Jazz Expansions), en route to Brattleboro, VT (Vermont Jazz Center) and Lake George, NY (Jazz Festival). She will be joined by her current "little big band" which includes special guest, Boston's Jason Palmer (trumpet), along with Sam Sadigursky (alto sax/bass clarinet), Chris Komer (French horn), Brad Shepik (guitar), John Escreet (piano), Matt Clohesy (bass), and Jeff Hirshfield (drums).
