About
NY based, Tomoko Omura is a jazz violinist whose exquisite melodic lines and harmonic depth that build on her initial classical training irresistibly draw you deep into the territory of jazz and world music. Her sets include - respectful yet modern - her original compositions, as well as her arrangements of well-known songs by bands like, Massive Attack, and also from her country Japan. Omura received "Honorable Mention" at International Songwriting Competition, 2008 for her composition.
