About

Jazz was born in North America, and Tufts Jazz Orchestra celebrates its birth with music from the rich tradition of Big Band jazz from New Orleans, Kansas City, and New York, including the works of Count Basie, Thad Jones, and John Coltrane. TJO will also feature music from the great American songbook by Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and Irving Berlin, as well as exciting modern arrangements of Latin Jazz and Funk music.

Featuring special guest artists Bill Lowe and Jeff Galindo, trombone. Joel LaRue Smith, director

This concert is presented as part of the Spring Festival of the Arts@Tufts. For information on all events taking place during the festival, visit go.tufts.edu/artsfest....
