Ben Thompson is a piano player, composer, and teacher that currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a very versatile musician mixing jazz improvisation, classical music, salsa, funk, and rock to create his own musical identity. Ben has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies which he attained in 2020 from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ben has performed with several esteemed musicians and groups including Rico Jones, Greg Gisbert, Brad Goode, Evelyn Soto, Michael d’Angelo, Bob Deboo, and Hugh Ragin. This includes working with the National Repertory Orchestra in July 2018. It also includes a new album by Colin Trusedell released in May 2024 entitled “The Places We’re Taken.” Ben previously worked as a collaborative pianist for Niwot HS for 3 years and currently works at Scott Air Force Base as a piano player for the Band of Mid-America.
