Simple Math is a Jazz trio flavored with Hip Hop, Afro Cuban, Rock,Pop, World, and many other influential musical genres.Leader and keyboardist Charles Blenzig, relocated to Colorado two years ago from NYC, where he was part of the jazz scene for over 35 years. He has worked with The Gil Evans Orchestra, Michael Brecker, Gato Barbieri, Bill Evans (sax w. Miles Davis), Marcus Miller, Mike Stern, Roy Ayers, and countless others. Notably, Charles has been Musical Director for singer-songwriter Michael Franks, for whom he also arranged and performed Franks’ music with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.On drums, JJ Mazza, Denver School Of The Arts graduate, is now attending the prestigious Manhattan School Of Music.On both upright and electric basses, Hunter Roberts, has performed with Robert Randolph, Maurice “Mobetter” Brown, Big Gigantic, The Colorado Symphony, and his own group BTTRFLY Quintet, among others.
