Ithamara Koorax sings all songs composed by Bossa Nova genius Joao Gilberto, who turns 85 this year! She already recorded these songs on the album "Bim Bom - The Complete Joao Gilberto Songbook," released by Motéma with critical acclaim, including rave reviews on The New York Times, DownBeat, All About Jazz and All Music Guide. Two great musicians from Bahia will appear as special guest: guitarist Paulo Levita (from the bossa duo Palmyra & Levita that has released best-selling albums in Japan and Europe) and trumpet master Joatan Nascimento, regarded as "the Brazilian Art Farmer."
