ABOUT LACHLAN MCKENZIE & BRENDAN ST LEDGER

Lachlan McKenzie is a Brisbane based trumpet player, composer and educator. Throughout his career Lachlan has had the pleasure of performing with several of Australia’s Jazz heavyweights including John Harkins, Steve Russell, Elly Hoyt, Graeme Norris and Zac Hurren among others. In 2018 Lachlan released and toured his debut album “Ruminations on a Theme” featuring all original compositions for his quartet. In 2019 Lachlan performed at the “Takatsuki Jazz Street” Festival held in Osaka, Japan.

Brendan St Ledger’s extensive recording and touring credits include some of the greats of Australian Jazz, Pop, Soul, Funk. The likes of Wendy Matthews, Marcia Hines, Steve Clisby, Lily Dior, Tina Arena, Glenn Shorrock and Christine Anu. He was twice selected to play in the Wangaratta National Jazz Piano Award and has recently returned to Brisbane after 26 years in Sydney....
