As a drummer and composer, Elemér Balázs has been a major figure in the Hungarian jazz scene for a decade and a half, and has also been a bandleader since 1995. He has played in the No-Spa band, was a mainstay of Trio Midnight and a permanent drummer in the Creative Art Ensemble.
