The 10th Érdi Jazz Festival is preparing for a big celebration.
Before the concerts, film fans are invited to the cinema of the Gyula Szepes Cultural Center at 3:00 p.m., where the Oscar-winning film La La Land, about an American jazz pianist, will be screened.
At 4:00 p.m., you can listen to a lecture on the history of jazz by Miklós Birta, a jazz guitarist and professor.
The concerts start at 17:30.
Oláh Kálmán Jr. Quintet -
Oláh Kálmán Jr. is one of the most active and best saxophonists of the young generation of jazz musicians, a multiple winner of talent competitions, who has performed several times in Érd. In the spring, they achieved success with Coltrane Legacy, but since 2018, he has performed almost every year at the Outstandingly Talented Academics concert. This time he plays with his own band, whose first album will be released in the fall. Thus, the Érd festival audience can also witness a record presentation. Gábor Subicz, trumpet player of the Modern Art Orchestra, will be their guest at the concert....
