The openness toward a variety of genres and trends was always characteristic for compositions and guitar-style of Gyula Babos. Accordingly, he has been performing in a wide range of different groups throughout his career.
The latest, Macrocosmos, is a real novelty even for rock-hard fans of of the established guitarist, as this time he joins forces with a strong wind section comprised of Gábor Winand and Kornél Fekete-Kovács. The rhythm section is also new with one of the most sought-after Hungarian double-bass players György Orbán, and the exceptionally talented young drummer Tamás Czirják. Babos says that they are all, like him, open and romantic souls on a true quest for discovering all kinds of the Hungarian cultural treasures....
