SONGSTRESS KLÁRA HAJDU gifted with a beautiful voice is one of the most popular jazz singers in Hungary. She has beautiful phrasing and is a tasteful improviser. Klára first made a splash in 2001 when in the talent seeking contest jointly organized by Sony Music and Bravo she came third in the solo vocalist category. She went on to be the singer for a decade of probably the most popular band in the country, the Elemér Balázs Group. They won two gold discs as well as the Fonogram Award. and successfully toured in Europe and the US. She formed her own quartet ten years ago. Their album dedicated to Chet Baker was nominated for Album of The Year and also for the Fonogram Award in 2017. She has worked with everyone who is anyone on the Hungarian scene, as well as with Tim Ries, Nuria Rial and Stephane Belmondo. She is also a teacher at the Budapest faculty of the world famous Vienna Konservatorium....

On this occasion Klára is partnered by MILÁN SZAKONYI, one of the most unique singer/guitarists in Hungary. He is the present singer in that most popular band, the Elemér Balázs Group. He was also the founding member of the accappella group Budapest Voices. He sang together with Boggie at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Milán and Klára have been working together for four years now. Their joint composition “You’re gonna rise” was highly rated. He is also part of the áRON feat. SZAKONYI MILÁN project where he is teamed up with jazz pianist Áron Romhányi, performing mainly original material.
