The Daniel Karlsson Trio have since their album debut Das Taxibåt in September 2013 established themselves as one of the most interesting constellations in Swedish jazz. Not least through the magnificent hat trick brought home by their sophomore release Fusion for Fish, released in August 2014. The album ended up winning them the Swedish Radio’s jazz group of the year Award 2014, Swedish jazz magazine OJ’s Golden Disc 2015 as well as the Swedish Jazz Grammy of 2015. This does not mean that the trio rest on their laurels. New music has been recorded through the Fall 2014 and the Spring of 2015 on Runmarö in the Stockholm archipelago and then honed to perfection at the brus & knaster studio in Stockholm. As always the new album, aptly named The Daniel Karlsson Trio at the Feel Free Falafel, contains a collection of exciting original compositions by Daniel Karlsson. The trio’s distinctive characteristics are very much in place, only even more perfected this time around with analogue synthesizers and a rare instrument in jazz settings, the Mellotron, adding new colours to the soundscape.

Malin Wättring 4 have their roots in the Nordic jazz but their music has no limits to where it can go. The group works intuitively with combining written material with free improvisation. The sound is beautiful, timeless and challenging.

Malin Wättring is one of Swedens most interesting young jazz artists, she's been acknowledged both as a saxophone player and a composer. In 2016 she was nominated for one of Swedens finest Jazz awards “Jazzkatten” in the category Composer of the year. The year before she was nominated for Newcomer of the year for her debut album Glöd. Malin is actively playing on the jazz & improv scene all over Europe. She has been working with groups such as Mats Gustafssons Fire! Orchestra, Nils Landgren Jazz Baltica All Star Big Band, Anna Högberg Attack and Tonbruket.

In 2016 Malin Wättring 4 did a project togheter with the famous Bohuslän Big Band where the two groups played music written and arranged by Malin. They will release an album in 2018.
