A tenor choir and a jazz musician, five voices immerse themselves in an original soundscape of polyphonic vocals, reeds, saxophones and clarinets, guttural sounds, digital filters of live electronics. A performance in which we hear a Sardinia immersed in a magical environment, where the archaic language of megalithic sounds coexists with modern instruments, electronic circuits and patterns.

The musical culture of the mountainous islands of Corsica and Sardinia has preserved almost intact the centuries-old tradition of polyphonic singing. Unsurprisingly, it is thought to have originated in imitation of nature: the four voices that make up the chorus are the bellowing of the ox, the bellowing of the sheep and the sound of the wind. The guttural use of sound and the distinctive intonation of the songs make this ancient art unmistakable.

They have performed with great success in almost all European countries. Highlights included their performances at the Vatican Christmas Concert, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

While preserving archaic forms, they have also been open to other musical genres and artistic disciplines. They have performed with Brazilian Tom Ze, Serbian Bilja Krstić and Czech Iva Bittova. They are currently actively collaborating with jazz musician Enzo Favata from Alghero.

Sardinia's polyphonic songs are an integral part of Italy's world music and were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005
