Barrington Levy is THE original singer of the dancehall era, inspiring many imitators but never equaled. Since his 1975 debut single, My Black Girl, the Jamaican singer launched an entire genre with his soulful vocals and hard-edged, danceable roots rhythms. In addition to instantly recognizable hits like Bounty Hunter, Money Move, Under Mi Sensi, and Mary Long Tongue, Levy has been sampled by everyone from Sublime to Cypress Hill and has performed alongside Stevie Wonder, U2, Shaggy, and Slightly Stoopid, among countless others. Performing cuts from his new album, It’s About Time, join Levy as he lights up the waterfront with the spirit of the Jamaican dancehall.
