Acclaimed guitarist and composer John Scofield is a universally-revered improviser who walks a tightrope between post-bop, fusion, and soul-jazz. One of the “big three” of current jazz guitarists (along with Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell), Scofield’s off-kilter and distinctive rock-centric sound has been an important part of the groups of Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Joe Henderson, and Herbie Hancock.
