24/7 Jazz Trio at Westhaven Center For The Arts

The 24/7 Jazz Trio will be putting on a special performance at the Westhaven Center for the Arts, on Friday, March 15, from 7-9 PM. Admission is only $5. We'll have a guest drummer, Larry Brown substituting for Bob Higgons, who's on walkabout.

What makes this performance special? Singing. We're featuring three different vocalists, who will each perform jazz songs with interesting or humorous lyrics.

Maria Bartlett will sing her (soon to be a) smash hit single "Hopelessly Heterosexual."

Al Macy will sing a few tunes. And if you haven't heard him sing before, you, well, ah, you'll definitely hear him at this gig!...

And as a special treat, jazz vocalist Lin McPhillips has graciously agreed to sit in with us for a few tunes. You can hear clips from her latest CD here. Be sure to check out track #4, because that's a tune she may sing with us.

And to show how contemporary we are, we'll play a tune from the Academy-Award-Winning movie, Silver Linings Playbook. It's one that was played on the Oscars last week.
