Les Benedict, Dan Ferguson, Chris Conner, Steve Pemberton, and the rest of these stellar musicians join the young and upcoming jazz pianist/composer/arranger, Charlie Ferguson! This wonderful young pianist is making a name for himself amongst the well-known older jazz musicians in this town! Charlie is a 5th generation musician, and not only a fine pianist, reminiscent of Bill Evans, but also a composer and arranger for his own big band. Influenced by Rob McConnell, Bob Florence and Bill Holman, Charlie's concept for this group is different than most other big bands; whereas most big bands tend to focus on original music, this band focuses mainly on obscure jazz tunes, mostly from the 70s and 80s L.A. scene, that are wonderful in their own right, but are waiting to be rediscovered! This band has some of the most illustrious L.A. musicians in it! Reservations suggested. $10 general admission, $5 students with I.D.s. A $10 minimum food/drink charge....
