The Decisive Instant at Blue Whale

On June 12 at 8PM, Angel City Arts presents a special Sunday night
show at the Blue Whale: the debut of The Decisive Instant, a large
creative music ensemble including veterans of the L.A. improvisation
scene and new voices. The group will play two sets, including
compositions by co-directors Jeff Schwartz, Robert Leng, and Charles
Sharp, members Bruce Friedman and Scott Heustis, and Frank Zappa.
The group uses conducted improvisation, graphic scores, and other
ways of organizing spontaneous experimental playing. A must-see for
