An all-female congregation of world-class instrumentalists brings the swing for a three-day JAZZ ROOM residency, in celebration of Women’s History Month.

This evening we celebrate the females that are instrumental in jazz historically and today. Women like Mary Lou Williams, Alice Coltrane, and Melba Liston have been incredibly influential in the development of jazz, whether ghostwriter behind the scene or trailblazer despite it. Some were recognized in their own time, but others only discovered later.
