The accomplished, innovative vocalist Andrea Wolper visits Charlottesville as part of her mid-Atlantic tour, following her acclaimed appearance at New York's world-famous Blue Note jazz club, and a summer-long composer's residency in Taos, New Mexico. Wolper’s quartet includes pianist Diane Moser, a featured performer and composer throughout the U.S. with big bands, orchestras, chamber music ensembles, dance companies, and theater companies. Bassist Ken Filiano's credits in jazz, improvised music, classical music, tango, and interdisciplinary performance include performances and recordings with Anthony Braxton, Nels Cline, Frank London, and many others. Michael T.A. Thompson is one of the country’s most versatile drummers, appearing on not only jazz recordings but reggae, gospel, soul and rock albums as well.
