Icelandic Pianist Sunna Gunnalaugs at The Front Porch

The Charlottesville Jazz Society and WTJU are pleased to welcome back pianist and composer Sunna Gunnlaugs and her trio on Saturday December 17th at 7:00 pm for a holiday pop-up concert! Sunna will be joined by her husband Scott McLemore on drums, and Richmond bassist Randall Pharr. The trio will play some seasonal holiday tunes as well as originals.

Sunna’s piano playing has been acclaimed by The Washington Post as possessing "such timeless virtues as lyricism and grace… elegantly bridging soul-searching passages with uncluttered swing." She has released more than a dozen albums as a leader on her own Sunny Sky label....
