Now based in Los Angeles, pianist, composer and University of Virginia graduate Kait Dunton returns to Charlottesville to celebrate the release of her new CD trioKAIT. The concert will take place at 8pm at 214 E. Market Street in downtown Charlottesville, just across the mall from The Paramount Theater.

Together with Cooper Appelt on electric bass and Jake Reed on drums, trioKAIT brings a fresh perspective to the classic jazz piano trio. Incorporating wide-ranging influences such as fusion, R&B, and EDM, Kait's unconventional compositions create a unique sound filtered through an acoustic lens.
