This coming Sunday, August 25 at 2:00 PM, the FRED SIMON QUARTET will be appearing as part of the Chicago Jazz Composers Collective series at The Green Mill. I'm really excited to be playing with these superb musicians: Dave Onderdonk on guitar, Bill Harrison on bass, and Jon Deitemyer on drums.

I've got a bunch of tunes you probably haven't heard, and even if you have, I've been revising like crazy lately and they still have that new-tune smell. We rehearsed today, and if I must say so myself (and I must), it was really good, so I think you're just gonna have to make it a point to be there....
